The AgriSmart Story

AgriSmart’s origins began with our current CEO, Imran Raza, who founded the company in 2016. Having worked as a chartered accountant for over two decades prior, in the heart of New Zealand’s dairy farming country, Imran is well aware of the complications surrounding payroll and workforce management within this sector.

And so AgriSmart was born!

In 2017 AgriSmart took home the Fonterra Activate Award for the business that provides the most value to their customers, setting off a chain reaction that would grow the product and business to the heights that it is today.

In the beginning, AgriSmart solely had a payroll and time recording focus. The range of offerings has increased significantly since and now spans a complete workforce management system, including HR Onboarding, Job Costing, Scheduling & Tasks, and Health & Safety.

Becoming a true one-stop shop.

Along with the addition of these new features, AgriSmart has evolved to cover the unique payment and operational processes scattered across New Zealand’s horticulture sector. Including the automated ability to calculate the various payment methods, such as a piece rate basis or a bonus incentive rate.

These industry-specific capabilities have allowed us to expand the range of agribusinesses we can positively impact. As of today, AgriSmart now provides the full range of software features to some of the most influential organisations across New Zealand’s horticulture, agriculture, and viticulture sectors. Making us the industry-leading option for New Zealand’s primary industries.
